Afiya inMind exists because many Muslims delay help-seeking due to concerns about stigma, cultural misunderstanding, or fear of being judged for faith-based values.
Our Values
Our service is built to be culturally safe, trauma-informed, ethical and professional, grounded in compassion and dignity, and neuroaffirming. Our values are centred on respect for your beliefs, privacy, and boundaries, alongside providing gentle, non-judgemental care.
We are committed to integrity through clear communication and ethical practice, and to competence through evidence-based, clinically responsible support. All our therapists comply with the Afiya Code of Ethics.
We understand privacy is important, so sessions are confidential, boundaries are explained upfront, and records are stored securely under Australian standards, with self-referral always available.
We offer evidence-based, trauma-informed care with practical strategies for everyday wellbeing. Faith-sensitive support can be included if you wish, and you remain in control of what feels right for you.
