Spiritual counselling provides a supportive space to explore your relationship with Allah, your sense of purpose, and inner struggles through an Islamic lens.
It focuses on spiritual wellbeing, personal reflection, and strengthening faith, while remaining distinct from clinical therapy interventions.
Appropriate referrals will be made when therapy is needed

Cancellations and rescheduling
Afiya InMind has a 48 hour business day cancellation policy.
Appointments can be cancelled via phone or email only, appointments cannot be cancelled via text message. A late cancellation fee will be incurred for cancellations made within 48 hours, a non-attendance fee will be incurred for patients who fail to attend their appointments. These fees will be processed from the patient’s card on file.
Patients must contact us via email or phone by 3pm on a Friday for cancellations on a Monday or Tuesday. All emails and voicemails received after 3pm on a Friday and any time over the weekend will be charged as a ‘morning of appointment’ cancellation.
Payments & Rebates
Fees are securely processed through Zanda Health, a confidential practice management platform. Your card details will be collected before your first session and securely stored to allow for easy, same-day processing after each appointment. You will only be charged if you attend your session or if our cancellation policy applies.
Accessing Medicare Rebates
You may be eligible for a Medicare rebate of $98.95 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from your GP or psychiatrist. To use this rebate, your referral must include:
- A letter addressed to Afiya InMind
- A copy of your Mental Health Treatment Plan
Please have your GP (or yourself) email or fax the referral to appointments@afiya.au before your first session. If you’ve used some of your 10 annual sessions elsewhere, the remaining number carries over.
