What is Afiya?
The word ‘Āfiyah (عافية) in Arabic means wellbeing, protection, and wholeness—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ would frequently make du’a for ‘Afiya, saying:
“Ask Allah for forgiveness and ‘Afiyah, for no one is given anything better than ‘Afiyah.” (Tirmidhi)
